i'm probably going to need a replacement power steering rack for my coupe (car goes into the garage friday to check fluid leak) and would like to know if anyone knows of a company who might be able to supply a recon one? i'm asking in case my garage gets stuck with getting one.
i've had a look on the web but not come up with anything so far.

cheers

everything is relative but it will probably take most of a day if the engine is still in.

Undo the nuts under the pedals where the column joins the rack.
Undo the bolts in the wheel arch while holding the nuts in the engine bay - this can be quite tricky.

remove the bolts / nuts holding the track rods and the bracket to the rack
undo the hydraulic lines
undo the two large nuts holding the rack to the bulkhead.

remove the rack through the wheel arch.
