Today I part ex'd my A4 cabby for a 2005 A4 s-line Im really happy with the car apert from all the chrome around the windows is very badly corroded, totally lost its shine and looks terrible.
Where can I buy replacements? Are the chrome trim parts hard to remove/fit? |

Nothing's impossible, but ...... it's door cards off, glass out, drill the rivets out and replace - so few people bother. With Autosol and Auto-Glym SRP they will come up with some elbow grease. Or cover them with some 3M di-noc stuff. |

The problem is the previous owner must have put too much elbow grease in cause they have rubbed it down to the white base plastic |

Where should I take the trim to be fitted? I couldn't fit it myself but would a bodyshop or someone be able to fit it? |

I rang up to order the replacement trim and they asked do I require it with or without the rubber seal?
Its only the chrome thats damaged so will it fit ok to the original rubber thats already on the car? |

Right my trims arrived and my god was it expensive! Anyway its here now and there's no way I could fit it myself so I need a professional, but who should I take it to? Ive rang a auto windscreen firm and they seemed to think the trim just clicks off/on so its clear that they have no idea so where to take it?
Im getting some paint work done soon and the guy said he'll "have a go" but after spending nearly £300 on the new trim Im not really happy about someone "having a go" if you know what I mean.
Any ideas please |
