Almost got my Avant a.k.a 'Derv Diggler' finished. just need to do a full paint correction and sort a few bits out and she's nearly done. Wheels arrived the other day so I went out and took a few photos. Enjoy

Looks great.

Which indicators flash? a set of headlamps went on ebay the other day for £40 the pair, incorrectly listed in the VW parts section.
Worth keeping an eye out Wink

I connected the indicators in the bumper up. i do have some v6 headlamps to go in when i get time. picked up the front and rear bumpers and headlamps for 125 quid. Rear bumper doesn't fit because the exhaust cutout is in the wrong place Sad

Good looking slipper wagon ....Liking some of the suttle styling ..no rear wiper, black wing mirrors and tints make a difference...what are the wheels and do you run spacers with them?

Cheers

steve

Yeah coupe bumper won't fit you need to source one from an avant. The coupe one is too short at the sides, you also need the brackets for the sides where the bumper slides on otherwise it will droop down.

you got some good feedback so far mate, are we going to see the car at any shows this year?

so this is the daily driver, does that mean you have another motor?

Just out of interest where did you get the rims and do you get much rubbing, only other thing I was wondering about was i've heard that the wheels need to be inside the arch line?

got the wheels from POTN.com, was a bit of a ballache as they had to come from Germany and be custom drilled to the p.c.d. Only the tread has to be covered by the bodywork to be legal, hence the stretched tyres. These are really popular on the Dub scene and i've never known of anyone getting busted by the sweeney for it. Very Happy
Oh, and zero scrubbage, not even on really bumpy roads. Bonus!!!

Don't get excited its only a standard 1.8 8v!
Got the base car pretty cheap in standard form having covered only 33k with full VW service history. Decided to keep the standard engine in for now cos i know its been looked after Cool

You'll never get a Coupe bumper to fit. Different method entirely of bolting it on, sides are way too short and of course the exhaust cutout.
Only bumper for the Avant that is going to match the front, is the S2 Avant rear bumper.
