If anybody has any issues since I did the upgrade, please let me know.

Key changes:
All themes deactivated except new one
News module updated
Should all be compliant- only issues will be with the forums not being XHTML compliant fully (to check)
Any issues, please let me know. Everything should work ok, although there's only so much testing I managed to do.

If you can't access your account/ have issues either drop me a PM (if they work Laughing ) or email me: andy AT audifans.net

Thanks.

PS- the theme alone took over 3 days coding... Shocked

Hi Andy,

The new site looks very, very good - well done, just one small complaint, on the old site you could go to the top right hand side and clear all the recent posts as read, so when you next visited, you could see all the new posts./

The new site doesn't appear to have this facility, any chance of having this re-installed?

Cheers

Gary

I'll see if I can take a look; just found another issue on some forum posts- it loses the right hand side and you can't use scroll bars to look at the whole thread....

I've not encountered that particular problem, just no where to click and clean as it were...........

The feature you use, I never have- typically for forums- I either go to top menu "see new posts", or forums, top right "posts since your last visit"
The forums themselves have had no real changes- a couple of "tweaks" to do with the graphics, that's all... Confused

I wouldn't say you was a technophile.... Cool

Issue I found earlier is now fixed, thanks to one of the support site guys help Very Happy

I didn't think there would be "that much" work to doing the theme; I started with one as a basis and then spent 4 days re-coding it. This is even taking into account a lot of stuff was kinda already done.... Twisted Evil

Seems "cleaner" & "brighter" than before, I think... without moving too far away from the old theme to not upset people too much (although I'm sure some will complain Rolling Eyes )

Am now toying with whether to remove the calendar module (does anybody use it?) and maybe re-investigate the classifieds system... am undecided on that one yet. Got more to do before then...

I saw the new upgrade whilst on my work pc, now at my hotel and using my own laptop and I have the old version which still shows the feature I was griping about - how strange........

Odd. It's supposed to have "wiped" everybody to the new theme (good job I didn't delete it- you wouldn't have accessed the site...!)

I am seeing a mix of the old site and a lot of white blocks all over the screen.

I've logged in at work and I can see the new site, perhaps it's my cookies or history that are preventing me seeing the changed on my home computer?

I'm thinking it could be cookie related; will investigate more tomorrow Wink- thanks for the feedback/ heads up...

Can one of you please log out and then back in, see if it makes a difference?

Thanks for the "heads up"- I think I can kill everybody's cookie timers/ reset them so they have to log in again- then the only issue would be browser cache... (apparently Firefox suffers with it on some versions- techiie speak, I think)

yes... Very Happy

mixed reactions so far.... it's not "full width" like it used to be... and colours changed slightly, although forums are almost identical colours to the main theme before....

Most changes are on the homepage.... (articles/ interviews/ first drives, etc.)

Most people that "join" use the forums and never look at the home page... Sad
