Yesterday I had a flat battery and realised that I had left the lights on, usually there is a warning buzzer to let u know the lights were on but tried it and looks like it's broke, any ideas guys, is it a switch or cluster problem. Iv had the cluster out on many occasions for soldering but hoping someone can point me in the right direction, thanks as always...my cabrio https://youtu.be/QVYYamLoe8A

The signal comes from when you open the door.

Is the door contact switch ok. possibly a broken wire inside the rubber trunk between the door and A pillar. Are all other circuits working ok with the door open.

You can run a 2nd test by leaving the radio on and opening the door - you should get a warning buzzer for that as well

Cheers for that it was the switch for the door, I didn't know it was there, I guess it was stuck as a few pushes got it working again, many thanks
