Water Temp Gauge Intermittent

Hi, could anyone offer some advice on an intermittent water temp gauge? Fuel gauge is fine, oil temp takes ages to show anything, but nothing on the dash temp....

I had this on both the water temp and fuel gauges. They're held into the back of the Instrument Circuit board with screws which also act as earth connections. Tarnishing of the connections behind the screws stops the signals from getting through, so you need to pop out the instrument cluster, remove the screws (ONE AT A TIME), gently sand the connections and screw it back together again. Easy fix, and free if you already have a small piece of emery cloth/sandpaper around.

Yep i had to do exactly the same to mine and since then has worked perfect
