right , went to start my coupe the other day, made a strange baulking noise , managed to get it going but was very ropey, carried on but it just cut out at junctions on tick over, eventually cut out and could'nt get it goin at all.
recovery guy checked the fuel to the metering head , fuel was coming through.
currently it will turnover but won't spark up??,

well i've tried a new rotor arm & fuel pump relay, still no joy , i even topped it up with some more fuel, just in case the gauge had gone faulty, no joy ,....

i also took the fuel pump relay out and bridged the connection ,the fuel pump was buzzing permantly then, is that what should happen if the pump is working ok ????

when i go to start it , it wants to go with the fuel that has built up but stops after that has run out? ,
guessing ,some kind of fuel starvation some where ??

so would you say check fuel filter and fuel line for blockage ??

any other ideas would be greatly appreciated
many thanks, chris

the cis setup is fairly simple.

It's either spark or fuel.

If the spark is ok on all 5, then it's fuel. either too much or too little.

What state are the plugs in

thanks for rply mike, i'll have to check the plugs tonight, the one the recovery guy looked at was pretty black??
he checked the fuel pipe going from the fuel pump to the metering head,
which he loosened off, and fuel came out of it when i turned it over,
if thats makes any sense to you (would that sugest fuel is getting to the metering head no problem ?)
he did seem to think i had a problem with the metering head itself?

Forgive if I'm missing something somewhere, but you say in your first post it won't spark up. Do you mean "spark up" as in the non start? or "spark up" as in is has no spark at the plugs?

Does it spark?

Jase..

yes there is a spark, however over the weekend i have managed to sort the problem out with the help of 20vcqdriver Cool
after cancelling out a few things , decided it was either the metering head or warm up regulator, replaced both from my other GT and low and behold now working again, so don't really know which part had failed, just
happy it's now going again ,
thanks for all your replies and help any way
cheers
