It certainly is, Focus RS brakes - about a 1mm larger in diameter than the D1 S8 discs ! Razz This is the 1st gen. RS not the latest 5-stud 2nd gen. RS.

When I get a chance I will post up some pictures. Smile

Driven it yes Very Happy Can't wait to see what difference the brakes make but probably will not know for a few weeks yet until I get the brackets machined. I did manage to drive it down to Castle Combe, the longest journey yet but there's still a few issues to overcome, the major one being the failure of the CV joint but I think I've solved that with raising the front end 20mm so as to put less stress on the inner CV joints and decrease the amount of force the power steering pump has to overcome; bump steer also should be improved. Smile

I thought I'd update on some progress. The supercharged 30v 2.8 had been suffering from hesitation and running lean, after much head scratching the problem turned out to be a weak fuel pump. A new fuel pump and filter were fitted and also the cab was treated to a new Jetex exhaust..

I couldn't use the first silencer on the V6 system as the cat sits in it's place. The exhaust was subtle and at idle and moderate speeds is only a few db louder. The pipework is 2.5" compared to the original 2.25". Fit is excellent apart from where I had to mod the system, it was originally meant for a 4/5 cylinder 80 but can easily be adapted for a V6 cab or coupe.

Second project has been to convert the coils and HT leads to a coil-on-plug system to free some space up over the supercharger so the bonnet doesn't rub on the coils...

3.0L V6 wiring harness bought from eBay and 6 used coil packs..

A relatively simple wiring job and a much tidier engine bay..

Before...

After...
