what happens now vagparts are gone??? can anyone recommend anyone else??

I don't see this as being a major issue.

I hadn't used VagParts for at least 4-5 years mainly for the following reasons

lead times - unless the part was in stock, it would typically take 10 days to arrive

Add on postage and vat to the price, and it was frequently more expensive than it would be from the dealer unless a large quantity of parts were purchased in one go.

Unless I spoke to Martyn, the service was frequently poor. There were several occasions when my order was missed and I had to call back again.

With the discount I get from my dealer, I'm unlikely to go elsewhere unless they can't supply

I agree with everything you've said Mike.
I guess I always used them because it was easy. On the odd occasion I called my local dealer it was hard enough just getting through to the parts department and once speaking to them, I usually have a discussion as to whether the part I want actually exists "No sir, you must have the number wrong, there's no such part on my system" "What is it you wanted again? What car is it? I'm sorry sir you'll have to call back later".... Evil or Very Mad

and then theres a 40 mile trip to pick them up only to either (A) Be told that the parts guy is out somewhere and they don't know where my parts are or (B) Find the parts are totally not what I ordered.
So yeah. I miss vagparts too Sad
