Your right ..Just bolting stuff on now..have a trivia thing going on with the radiator..but will overcome this ,have read loads of different people ideas on what they do but most are on ABY not 3B..I have the ABS unit in the way ..so fitting the slimline fan will give me enough tilt to avoid the throttle body on the radiator and I am going to drop the bottom mount slightly to help with clearance..If this does not work i will make another crossmember and mount the radiator and intercooler on the front

Today has been good to a degree

I started off with good intentions with fitting the AAN manifold and playing about with rad so but got really pissed of as one thing after the other needed moved or replaced with something else that i had not accounted for ...so I have stuck on the Orginal IM and sending the AAN to get chopped and intake moved to make much easier access without all the hassle of rads mounts, hoses so on

So got the engine in ..all bolted up wiring at the back has been tidied up and fitted just the front end really left to do and she is a go'er

Thanks guys...Well i have one problem now ..I have crazy power but the transmission of it, is a problem ...The clutch is slipping badly at high end ..which i am not sure is a bedding in process due to been organic plate?..or the simple fact the clutch is not upto the job or the flywheel is screwed

This is all made harder to understand as i had a issue with the car before it went off the road due to the clutch slipping already quite badly on fast take off's ...but when closer inspection of the friction plate it showed hardly any wear so put fault down to the pressure plate been faulty ..but I have spoken to the previous owner and he had the clutch replaced 15K ago so cant understand it failing ..so should i be looking at sticking rods and clutch hydraulic system????

Anyway going to run the car and drive like a Sunday church go'r for the mean time say for a week (no high boost) and see if that helps(bedding in )

IF not I have a back up plan of another flywheel getting skimmed to 6Kg and will just have to put my hand deep into my pocket and buy a seriously strong clutch and then strip down the whole clutch system to make sure it is in all good shape

You know what Jas ...I honestly think I could do it blind folded now ...lol

The good thing about this time everything will come off as it should , I cleaned everthing and all the wiring is neat ..so will just unplug at the bulhead and no mucking about with colour coding wires for sensors and memorising crap ..plug and play

I am just really pissed at myself for not picking up on this when doing the job as I was so focused on getting the engine back in it did not occur to me that maybe clutch failure was down to flywheel or under estimating the power transfer to the box

Well the clutch came back today

Flywheel face has been ground ready to be mated to Kevlar friction plate,Stronger pressure plate , looking all clean and shiny..cant wait to stick it on

Only thing is I have to drive it for 500miles(more gear changes than long distance required) to bed the face of the flywheel and the friction plate together then it is ready for high boost

Disconnecting the WGFV so you only ever see mech boost Steve?, just in case the red mist descends and you forget?

Looking forward to seeing it this month...it will be there won't it?

Fitted the flywheel to the engine and assemble the clutch and bolted it up

Ground flywheel..

Bolted the engine to the gearbox so all that is left is the pipes ,wiring so on

Will tackle this over the next few days and hopefully have her running and ready for the road Monday night
