Can you help. After many years of trouble free motoring my trusted 2.8 cab has given up. It appears to have thrown one of the cam belt rollers and shrapnel has burst through the left side plastic cover. The belt appears to be intact, I can't remove the left cover as it fouls the autonator belt. My main question is would the valves have hit the pistons if the belt has jumped some teeth. Also can anybody recommend a mechanic who could help me sort this mess out in the Watford area. Fortunately the car is on the drive. Mike

Well the engine is knackered no compression on four pots. What do I do now, scrap it, replace the engine or whip the heads off. What would you do? Sniff
