im having an audi health check at my local audi garage. i know all the basics they cover but would they check the emissions control or does that come under a full service? also ive filled the car with petrol and added some redx injection/fuel cleaner stuff now the car is not accelerating properly! could the redx be the problem?

I wouldn't think the Redex would cause it, unless it's caused a particle to break free and restrict an injector or something.
What are the symptoms in relation to how it used to run?

Thats a bit hard to know without knowing what the problem is and what the healthcheck involves....

Pretty sure they will only do an emissions test if you specifically request it and outline the problem you're having. However they can scan the car for faults to see if it's a faulty Lambda sensor, idle control valve, MAF, etc. Once they've diagnosed possible fault - they should contact you to get authorisation prior to proceeding to repair.

Had mine in for an intermediate oil filter and brake fluid change.
They included a health check. The invoice says VISUAL CHECK.
You should specify problem and ask for the check you think would help.

When did you buy it. They must give a min 3 months parts and labour warranty.
iF they offer to repair and you accept, then you lose your right to reject it and get all your money back.
See honest John web site. That will tell youi how to deal with the matter.
Also refer to Trading Standards. Put everything in writing, keep copies and send recorded post. Citizens Advice Bureau also very helpful.
But depends when you got it and the warranty ?
