Hi just read the editorial about the new 'staff car' at Top Gear. They bought an A6 3.0TDi Quattro Avant, list price £40,500 and then specced it up to £79k almost double the price jesus christ what were they thinking............

Actually Mike we're not, its funded by the subscriptions to the Top Gear Magazine, its nothing to do with licence fees..............but still alot of dosh in extras........

questions: same brand but "different" .../
As in TopGear "re-runs" are sold by the BBC (In the UK to "Dave")- not sure how the relationship is with the magazine? Do they pay to use the name, or are there "ties" otherwise?- as in does the Topgear magazine "car" get featured on the TV programme?

Andy, that's a question for the person who owns the 'Top Gear' name and all royalties connected with it and seeing as how me and Jeremy Clarkson aren't that close, someone might be able to answer the question on his behalf.....lol
