Okay, I may be stooopid but bear with me. The alternator drive belt broke the other night on my 2.0 8v Audi 80 Sport. Got the replacement part and went to fit it, managed to release the alternator and all set to fit the belt barring one slight problem...... the power steering belt.
In order to fit the new belt I have to get it onto the main pulley BEHIND the power steering belt. I have looked everywhere but cannot figure out how to remove the power steering drive belt (Short of cutting it off and replacing that as well - not ideal as I would still need to reduce the gap between the two drive wheels to get a new one on!).
This is probably something really simple but I am not mechanically minded and have already wrecked 2 ratchets trying to remedy this so any advice (idiots guide only please as I am Fick!!) would be greatly appreciated.
