Hi guys and girls,
Is it possible to change front sidelight bulbs on 2006 A6 without taking front bumper off?
How to get to them with minimum hassle?
Mine are burnt out on both sides but don't really fancy paying mechanic for such a little job Sad .
Anyone done this before?

Hi,

Not exactly sure on the 2006, but I have a 2009 with factory Xenons and DRLs and I've managed to get at the bulbs without removing too much.

You can get at the near side really easily and the offside is made easier if you remove the air box.

My bulbs weren't duff, but I bought two spare D3S and wanted to test them!

Regards

Pete

Thanks for your reply!Mine engine is 2.7 TDI Auto and takes almost all space in bay but I'll try if I can stick my hands that far.
I'm from Southampton.

Hi,

D3S is the bulb code for the factory fit Xenons on my 2009 model.

In theory, the LEDs shouldn't need replacing. I got a couple of spare Xenons at a good price (£179 each from the stealer!).

Let me know how you get on with your sidelights.

Pete

If you can pop off the plastic engine cover it might free up some space.... It's only a deocrative cover anyhow.
