Hi all,

I'm currently thinking of buying an A6 for the first time.
I've got my eye on a 3.0 v6 petrol quattro SE on an 03 plate.
£7k with 55k miles (seems a little pricey)

Could anyone advise please on what to look for on this model and what are the standard problems on these sort of cars.

If anyone knows of common problems and how much they cost to fix that would be great,
and what should of been done by now.

Kind regards
Matt

if it's on variable servicing ("long life")- get it switched to "standard" oil & filter changes/ servicing. Oil changes are important on this engine, regardless of what the dealer network tells you....

Seems like a pretty solid deal, but just make sure all the parts that are known to go bust are looked at.
