Had my renewal come through today, and its gone up Shock

First year cost me £164.00 fully comp.
Second year cost me £164.00 fully comp.
This years price came through, and couldn't believe how much they're trying to rip me off for,so much so,i had to ring and complain.......................................£165.28p Laughing
My Mrs works for Direct Line, and i know how much in general insurance has gone up by,so to have an increase of just £1.28 in 3 years, well, what can i say except brilliant. Very Happy

Hi J,but don't forget, the car is on 'classic' insurance, but even so,i was expecting a bit more than that mate,to say i'm pleased is a bit of an understatement Smile

hey check this out

i am now the proud owner of a £60 toyota corina to use for going back to work in as i work in the fishing industry and didnt want to keep using my audi stinkin it out.

i rang up swiftcover who the audi is insured with and they said that they can mirror my NCB over to a second car so id get it alot cheeper --- sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet ,,, or so i thought

Boy was i so wrong!!!!!!!!!!

i went on gocompare and purchased the policy as it was slightly cheeper that swiftcover direct, then rang them up to mirror my NCB over

when i rang them they siad the only way they could do it was if there were no named drivers under the age of 25 on the policy ( my GF ) and would have to take her off.

This wasnt a problem as recently she insured her new car and that had the entitlement to drive other cars so told them to take her off.

The woman put me on hold for a few mins and there was me thinking my insurance will now drop down by a noticable amount, when she came back on the phone she had the great privilidge of telling me that my insurance had actually gone up by £48 Shock Shock Shock Shock

she then tried to tell me that its actually cheeper to have named drivers on some policies Laughing Laughing Laughing

so i took her dil*o up my arse accepted what she told me and got on with my day

the following day after not being able to sit very well i decided to go onto swiftcover and get a brand new quote for myself on the audi and BANG about £160 cheeper than what im paying now

i still even have the 2 expired quotes i origonally did when i 1st insured the audi and it was £ 187 for me on my own or £310 with my GF

Cheeper with a named driver My ar*e!!!!!!

the under writters are looking into it so should hopefully no by tomorrow whats goin on Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I did not bother in the end as I just transferred my policy from my astra over to the quattro, only charged me £40 extra to go from a 1.7td to my 2.8 quattro Very Happy

Up for renewal January so will be hunting round then if I have the quattro on the road (which I will probably not) !

I came across a few insurance brokers who would not give me a 'genuine' classic car policy unless my car was at least 20 years old which it is next year Cool
