Hi folks, Iain here. Audi wise i currently have a b3 80 16v quattro and a b4 80 2.8e quattro. I had a 2003 A4 tdi quattro up untill the end of last year aswell but recently swapped it for an e39 M5. Ive also got a '98 Toyota landcruiser and '95 nissan sunny gti track car. So as you can imagine my drive looks a bit like Steptoes yard!
Currently trying to thin out the stable a bit though because money and space are coming tight! Plan for the audis at the moment is to try and pass the white 16v onto a new owner and try and progress the re 2.8 a bit. The 2.8 engine is going in the bin, as with most of the running gear and a 2.7 bi turbo and b5 s4 gearbox is going to get shoe horned in after a bit of buthery is carried out on the chasis legs. After a bit of searching and pricing im planning on getting a shabby s4 to use through this coming winter (not doing another winter with the m5!!) and do a bit of cutting and pasting. Should be no end of fun im sure.
I'm impressed with the website so far, its nice to find a british based site for a change!

Hi, cheers Sud. Yeah a car for every occasion indeed! Got a bike stashed in with that lot aswell but its in the process of being sold to try fund the biturbo.
The M5 is indeed getting tucked up at the end of summer, it is almost possible to drive it in the snow (I used it to go snowboarding once believe it or not) but it isnt ideal. Its also 11 years old now and i'd like to try keep it away from the salty roads if i can!

Yeah wise thing to do (tucking up the M5 for the winter) I wish I was in the position to do that with the Audi. Well still got the wifes Toyota that has survived nearly anything so far.
I can imagine what the M5 will do as a RWD car in the snow. I've had some RWD cars with less power than yours and winterdriving was pretty slippery as I remember. But that's somewhat over now with the Audi.
Hail to the Quattro hehehehehe
