Hi

Bought my first Audi just about 4 years ago (and in the middle of a snow storm!) – a modest white Audi 80 on a E plate, no power steering or fuel injection even, but a lovely car. I’d had some bad luck with a Ford ( Embarassed ) and was on a budget and this car seem to give me the best bang for my buck –and boy I wasn’t wrong! I was instantly smitten with the marque. However, it was when that summer I “upgraded” to a B4 Audi 80 and the ensuing problems that led me to discover the wonders of the I5 engine– and Audifans too! I think of it as Serendipity – good luck that comes from bad!

By October 2003 I bought my first coupe (2.3e 10v) via Jas11n from his bro Paul (Armo750) and I never looked back. I just loved that car, it was such a huge step up in class, could feel it immediately, a lovely torquey 10v engine in distinctive Lago blue metallic - I was blown away. Unfortunately, so was the car 4 months later. Gutted I knew the 2.3e was going to be impossible to replace but I found a classy cq20v in pearl white and my first quattro in Huddersfield. Missed the 10v burble, but loved the 20v growl and Quattro was just amazing!.

Spent a lot of time, money & effort improving that car but when the chance of my dream motor came along– an S2 – also in pearl white and with leather, spotted by Jas and Mark (Rotoryboy) then owned by Tina (Girlracer) it had to be mine!! 9 months on and a lot of tlc later and Im really loving that car. Still loads to do – but thats half the fun!! Started with the white 80, finding better bits to improve, upgrade or replace older bits and still doing it! Taken me four Audis to get there but I did it! Yay!!

Paul
