As it says, might well be the end of the GT after 6 years and 48k miles. Not bad for a car that cost £800.
Off the road now thanks to a combination of wear and tear, old age and rust.
Next stop, a garage somewhere for an opinion on how much work needs doing to it. Any psychic's know this weekends lottery numbers?

Would it be worth selling as a project car to someone rather than breaking it? They are getting scarce now - I looked for one for ages before eventually buying my B4 coupe. |

Andy, I'm just about to open my classic repair business in Hillington, Glasgow.
I will be specialising among other things in Audis, old and new.
I should be open by the end of next week and would be happy to give your car a look over and a price to fix.
I will be advertising on here with all the details.
Give me a PM if you are interested.
Regards,
James. |

Well, after much putting off, the GT has finally gone to the scrapper to be chipped.
Was picked up this morning and exchanged for £130.
Now to find a sensible diesel... |

I don't believe you sold it to the scrap man. You could have broke it for spares to help those of us with GT's keep them on the road. |
