Having a problem with my abs light. If i apply the brakes they appear to work as they should but if my foot is still applying pressure when the car stops then whenever i let my foot off the pedal the abs light will come on. No judder or kick back. If i switch the abs off and then on again it will reset itself. If i let my foot off the brakes before the car stops then everything works normally. Mot coming up so bit of a problem. Any ideas. Brian

I would re-gap the sensors and clean the ABS rings on the cv joints

I would very carefully remove the sensor from the hub, if she's elderly use plenty of WD 40 before you start pulling out the sensor, which is held in by one small allen bolt. At the end of the sensor you will find a nylon 'brush' which is removeable, replace these, (still available from Audi) and as another has suggested clean the teeth on the hub itself. When pushing the sensor back in the hub, be careful not to push too hard or too far, again use plenty of lube and clean out the hole with some wet and dry for ease of fitment. Do this proceedure one at a time and then road test, (4 on the car) to see if it cures it. Do not remove them if you do not have to as it can be sometimes tricky. In other words, if it is not broken do'nt mend it!! All the best tudordaviesbda@hotmail.co.uk
