| A8 3.2 FSI now with added quattro security |
|
 The recently released A8 3.2 with FSI direct petrol injection technology is now available with the option of quattro permanent four-wheel-drive for added all-weather driving security. The new A8 3.2 FSI quattro models join their front-wheel-drive 3.2 FSI counterparts with OTR prices starting from £49,830, and open for order this week. The new 3.2-litre V6 engine, seen first in the A6 executive saloon, replaces the 3.0-litre V6 petrol unit available in the A8 since launch. It increases power from 220PS in the outgoing model to 260PS (at 6,500rpm), and torque from 300Nm to 330Nm (at 3,250rpm), giving a 0-62mph time of 7.7 seconds and a governed maximum speed of 155mph for both front-wheel-drive and quattro versions. Front-wheel-drive models transmit power via the unique-in-class multitronic automatic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), while quattro versions use the six-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox.
In common with all V6 and V8 models in the A8 range, the A8 3.2 FSI and new 3.2 FSI quattro are equipped to SE specification as standard. SE trim includes everything from full Valcona leather upholstery, double glazing and adaptive air suspension to advanced key access technology and the Multi Media Interface (MMI) incorporating DVD satellite navigation as standard. There is also the option to upgrade to Sport specification, bringing features such as larger 19-inch alloy wheels, sports adaptive suspension, sports seats and a sports multi-function steering wheel.
