DTM: Audi driver Ekström third after impressive race

ALMS: Lehto/Werner achieve hat-trick

SPEED GT: Audi driver Galati defends lead

STCC: Fredrik Ekblom makes up groundDTM: Finishing third, Mattias Ekström was the best placed Audi driver in the DTM invitation race in Shanghai (China). The Swede, driving an Audi A4 DTM, stormed through the field from ninth on the grid to third position. Rinaldo Capello finished his DTM debut race in fifth place. Audi lost the chance to win the Shanghai race on the opening lap when the three fastest Audi A4 DTM cars from qualifying retired in collisions. The race started with almost five hours delay due to works on the track.

ALMS: Team ADT Champion Racing achieved a hat-trick in round four of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) at Infineon Raceway near San Francisco (USA): JJ Lehto and Marco Werner, driving an Audi R8, scored their third consecutive ALMS victory, further extending their lead in the series. On Saturday, Werner had won pole in the first-ever single car qualifying of the ALMS. Werner battled with the fastest MG Lola in the opening stages of the race before opening a gap and handing over the R8 with a clear lead to JJ Lehto.

SPEED GT: Finishing 13th at Infineon Raceway, Audi driver Michael Galati has defended his lead in the North American SPEED GT World Challenge. Team-mate Randy Pobst finished seventh with Champion Racing's second Audi RS 6 Competition. Following the successes in the recent races, both Audis had to carry massive handicap weights. After a good start, Galati was running initially fourth before his car was bumped more than once from behind. This contact would ultimately cause some damage to his RS 6, dropping to 13th position.

STCC: In the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC), Fredrik Ekblom has reduced the gap to second placed Robert Dahlgren to ten points. At Knutsorp (Sweden), Fredrik Ekblom and his team-mate Tommy Kristoffersson, driving a pair of Audi A4 STCC cars, finished both races in front of Dahlgren. Ekblom moved from ninth on the grid to seventh position in the first race. In the second race, the Audi driver was running fifth, before losing a position in a battle with pole sitter Johan Stureson.
