The biggest Audi showroom in the world is being built in the UK. Work has started on the £15million project at the Braehead Retail Park in Glasgow, which opens next spring. But as Robin Slough, dealer network development manager for Audi UK, explained, the new site will have a lot more than your average car dealer. "This will be a breakthrough in the way we sell our vehicles," he said. "It will offer an Audi museum, a top restaurant, a nursery and traffic safety classes.
"There will also be a fully equipped training and conference centre, plus an off-road course, a multi-functional entertainment centre and the largest and most innovative display of Audi models in the world. Visitors will enjoy a completely different experience when coming to our new premises, including an unequalled level of customer care."
