V6 petrol and EU4 TDI engines, multitronic CVT transmission and front-wheel-drive are new departures for the latest A8 Frankfurt first for new A8s - Two new versions of the lightweight aluminium-bodied Audi A8 will debut at the 2003 Frankfurt Show - a 3.0-litre V6 petrol model with 220PS, notable as the first ever luxury saloon to feature continuously variable transmission (CVT), and a 3.0-litre V6 TDI with 233PS. UK prices and introduction dates have yet to be confirmed.
