DTM: Audi driver Ekström leads DTM yet again

STCC: Fredrik Ekblom clinches podium in Norway

FSTCC: Audi driver Haapalainen headed for title win

DTM: With a second-place finish at the Nürburgring Mattias Ekström recaptured his place at the top of the DTM standings. With a five-point lead, the Swede will be starting to the next race at Oschersleben to be staged as early as next Sunday. Tom Kristensen, as well, rendered a strong performance: from grid position nine, the Dane fought his way up to fifth place. Christian Abt, Frank Biela, Emanuele Pirro and Martin Tomczyk got entangled in collisions right in the starting lap.

STCC: In the Norwegian race of the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) at Mo i Rana, title defender Fredrik Ekblom clinched a podium position. Having started from third place, the Swede in his Audi A4 STCC captured second place in race 1. In the second race, Ekblom finished fourth. The Audi driver thus reduced the number of points he's ranking behind Robert Dahlgren - the runner-up in the standings - to eight.

Finland: Clinching two wins at Alastaro, Audi driver Olli Haapalainen has expanded his lead in the Finnish Super 2000 Touring Car Championship to 57 points. With only four races remaining, the Finn in his Audi A4 STCC is clearly headed for the title win. In both races at Alastaro, Haapalainen fought his way past Pasi Lähteenmäki, who had initially been leading both runs.
