Hi all
Been asked by a friend to look at their 98 Tdi with suspected immob' issues.
Upon scanning with vcds;
Engine. 17978 engine blocked by immobilizer
Instrument Cluster. 01176 key signal too low
Engine starts and then stops again, I have had battery leads off, checked read coil on ignition.
Somehow managed to get rid of 01176 code but 17978 is reoccurring.

I'm at a loss of what to do next without getting someone to retrieve the pin to re-code the keys, does anyone have any ideas?
