Computor display.

Have many of you had problems with you dash display. I believe this is a common problem on older A6s. Mine is a 2000 2.5tdi quattro sport.

The (I think) low oil pressure light [dripping oil can symbol] flashes almost constantly, despite the oil level being OK. The sender has been changed, and no joy.

Also the display has inrceasing/differing lines of digits missing. Is there any way to remedy this?

Any ideas on either would be greatly appreciated.

I've never heard of a solution, I just have missing info which has got steadily worse. I think it may need a replacement which I believe is v expensive.

You can swap these out for a donor unit, granted not the easiest thing to find but out there I'm sure. Don't know what they cost new.

This is for an A4, but the principles the same.

Companies such as BBA-Reman do offer repair of these units as they are common faults. Think costs are around £200+VAT.

I have no personal experience though, but they might be worth a call?

Thanks for the link James. Had a look on Fleabay, but couldn't see any LCDs on offer.
I did see this repair disc however, thought I had before. It was £8 and I'll post if it works or not.
