A4 Avant 2.5 V6tdi (155), which oil?

Ive recently bought a 2002 A4 Avant 2.5tdi V6 (155) The car has done 76,000 miles. Could anyone tell me the best type of oil to use? It has had long life services from new, does this make any difference?

If it's been on a longlife schedule from new - and you average 15k+ miles a year then there's no reason not to continue with it. You'll need VAG.com to reset the DIS. However I've left it. Refuse to pay £20 to Audi to do it. I probably won't do more than 18k before I change the oil again.

I use Castrol Edge 5W-30. There was a deal on at Cosco last year - where I picked up 6 litres for £30 (normally £15 a litre!) Think the V6 lump uses 5.4 litres.

I use Mobil 1 for Turbo diesel 0W40 change oil every 10 000 KM and no problem))

I you have engine code AKN AFB AKE change oil every 12-15 000 km. dont use longlife...))

I use Quantum Synta gold fully synthetic in my AKE. Change it every 5k using Wynns engine flush.
