excuse my lack of knowledge but what is the vacuum pump for and why would a worn pump give off this noise and only at low speeds?

I also recommend while you are doing it you replace the front strut damper cap nut. the plastic damper protector support that should be fitted greased and worked so it turns freely on ...

It can also be the throttle control part on the side of the pump, but that doesn't usually leak unless someone has messed with it at some point..

The IQ will still need to be fine tuned if you tak ...

Pump timing being too retarded will cause the smoking when going into basic settings for vag com timing graph..

you could try advancing the pump a little then retry, they start better advanced and ...

no nothing amiss it's just the years of heat and oily induction gasses, the rubber breaks down, most of these hoses go around the 10year age which if you think about it, is pretty good.. just a shame ...

Aftermarket tensioners usually come with bolt, but genuine you have to order separately, I know of a few that have failed, but not the bolts fault just it had been reused too many times when it should ...
