Ah yes sorry it's a coupe, pulled the panel off and retrieved the pump but no water damage and could not see anything wrong with it, cleaned the tiny plug pins with 800 grit and refitted but no difference she just locks herself soon after opening sometimes straight away sometimes a few seconds later....going to try a new(second hand) pump unit. Pulled the fuse for the time being.

But on the coupe the wiring for the locks etc is in the body the only wiring going into the hatch is for the wash wipe.

it uses vacuum does it not in each door.

Sounds like there isn't enough vacuum to activate the actuator for opening the door and it just closes again.

Think you may have to remove the door cards and check the vacuum hoses.

the vacume seams to be ok because when they are locked they stay locked and the pump does not keep going, it just unlocks and then relocks its self when you try to open the door with the key, although sometimes it will unlock and then it will be maybe a couple of mins and the car locks its self again so l thinks it's electrical, so going to get another unit and try that first.

That's a very good point Laughing There is a circuit board in the pump so it could be that. What does your interior light do? has it got factory remote locking?

when you unlock the light goes on then goes off when the car locks its self, it has a laserline remote cl and alarm but that is ok because l have turned it off and the problem remains also the alarm was still dis armed when the car locked its self.

Third party alarms are the devil.

It will be a vacuum issue, check you don't have a pipe squashed or burst somewhere.

Disconnect all electric sensors, try it again, if the problem stops, electrical, if it continues, vacuum
