I have a fuel leak from the banjo fitting where it leaves the fuel pump. I am told that there is a simple copper washer fail to repair. However, I cannot get the banjo to unscrew past the two terminals either side of the banjo. Ha anyone done this job? How the hell do I do it. This is step one in my restoration of a 2.0 B3 and I'm already thinking of scrap values....

Please help!??! Confused

normally you need to disconnect the wiring. the red / blue wiring plugs just unscrew

I use a 17mm spanner which has had the sides trimmed with a grinder to hold the pump - this should fit between the two terminals. You then use another spanner to undo the banjo bolt.

it's always much easier doing this job off the car if possible

Laughing be prepared for a never ending fourth bridge style restoration, most of which will be fairly straight forward but the odd headache will jump in there now and again... you got to just enjoy it Rolling Eyes Cool
