Hi. I Wonder if anyone can advise please. I had a handbrake fault on my dashboard. I took it to a local garage, where I was few time before. They have replaced all 4 discs, brakes pats on all wheels a replaced the hand brake whire connected to the clipers. I was informed that the clipers will need to be replaced as well, as they are original (144k miles on 05 reg), but they are still working altought are a bit noisy. I collected my car today and the garage told me that everything is fitted but they can't get rid off the error on the dash board. There is very strong and noisy tone coming up each time when the speed is higher then 10miles per hour and the noise will not stop until the car will stop. The guys are saying the they can't work out why this is happening and that the diagnostic only shows that there is a mechanical fault, but don't give them any more details as it normally does. Any ideas? They suggested to take it to Aude garage for a diagnostic. On the end, before I have taken the car I asked them if they could remove the CD player from the glove box as I wanted to clean it inside. They were unable to do so. When I started the car ready to leave the garage, I realised that the computer is off and I could not get it working. Can't listen radio, cd nothing. They have told me that it was working before I asked them to remove the CS player even althought they did not manage to take it out. I don't not what is happening, but it costed me 800GBP and I am not sure how much more I will have to pay to get this sorter. Hope this makes sense. Sorry, I am not English (Czech Rep.) I hope to get some advise. Many thanks in advance.
