Audi cabriolet 1999 starting problems

please can someone help. I have a 1999 2.6l Audi which when driving does not pull smoothly. At speed it coughs, or judders slightly. More worryingly is the issue when starting warm. The engine turns over and no joy. Let it cool, and she fires up great!!!! Embarassed

have you tried an engine diagnostic fault read? i know the ecu temp sensor can cause similar problems with other audi models of same age. hows all the usual leads, plugs, vacuum hoses, etc ? try this test for the temp sensor http://www.12v.org/maintenance/repairs/ect.php heres the location (g62) http://www.12v.org/engine/index.php?section=cl&view=cool

That is great thanks, I will get that checked out at my local garage. That will give me a bit of direction to look into. Getting the old lady sorned for 31/10!!!!! Winter is on us. Thanks
