I have just purchased a 1999 A3 1.8 Sport (non-turbo), however the windcreen heater vent and the footwell vents appear to be stuck closed.
The car is fitted with the electronic climate control and when you press the button with the little windscreen icon on it, nothing happens apart from the fans go full power like they should but no air comes out of the vent.
The face vents work perfectly well so I am thinking it could be the little servo motors that controls the flap for the screen and footwell vents.
I have taken the glove box out but it is that crammed, I can't locate these motors.
I know others have posted this issue with other Audi models but not the A3.
