My Audi A3 '01 96kw PD is behaving in the starnge way. It sometimes start's smoothly and run's with no problem until it gets worm: 5-15 minutes. After that rpm starts to jump from around 900 but not strong. If you do nothing - engine stops, and if you wish to start it it seems like there no fuel. After starter strugling for 10-15 seconds it seem like fueling is back and it starts. After that it can run smoothly hundreds of km until not stoped and left to cool down.
If you constantly keep 2000 rpm - it will never happen. That's wy i don't think it's fuel pump. Fuel filter changed before less than 1000 km(first idea which came to my mind than it first occured). Outside temperature doesn't change a thing. The same when it's -18 and the same when its +10.
When on computer - no faults, except numbers for MAF, EGR should be better, it seems like to much air is supplied (~400 instead of 200), but that cut's fuel economy, increases power and temperature, and should not affect engine's work in than kind of maner.
Any ideas are welcome.
