A couple of tyres on our A6 keep losing pressure, about 10psi in a couple of weeks.
The car is booked in locally this Thursday to have everything checked, slow puncture, vales, seal etc. The tyre fitter have recently installed kit to allow them to offer filling the tyres with nitrogen, apparently it's heavier than air and less likely to try to escape.
Anyone got any experience of this?

If you've got a significant air loss nitrogen isn't going to sort it, you need to sort the root of the problem - probably corrosion on the rim somewhere.
Most the time air is fine - the only problem you get is when there's a lot of water vapour in the air-line, water in your tyres generally ain't good. Nitrogen gets around this as it is dry- but then a good garage should have decent water traps on their air lines anyway.

Thanks peeps
Car goes in tomorrow and I'll skip the nitrogen but get them to check everything else.
Longer term I probably won't bothe eitherr. Read a short AA report which reckoned it works well for race cars where absolute matching of tyre pressures is critical and the lower temperatures available are very useful too.
Not so important for everyday driving and if you top up with air, the game's a bogie!
