Max speed 160km/h

Hell o. First time here. Smile

I recently bought 2003, a4 avant, 1.9tdi. Engine code avb
The car seems fine but recently i tried the max speed Twisted Evil

and i was disappointed becouse the speed stopt at 160km/h and there is no way getting out more.
Can it be that the engine has worn out? It has 160000 on the clock.
Or is it posible that some of the previous owners have set a max speed in some settings?

What bhp is the avb engine?

How does it drive? Very unlike a 1.9 to 'wear out', but it's possible there is a fault with it. How does it drive?

Mine runs out of steam at approx 110mph (175km/hr). Check the spec of your car to see what it should be. Then a full service should be done to ensure you do not have clogged filters etc. and check any fault codes.

Its 100bhp
Well it drives very good and i have changed all the filters,new cambel kit,water pump,termostat,v belt and pulley.
There is one thing i didnt change.I changed the oil but not the filter becouse i was waiting for the tool from ebay to open it. I think this is not the reason? I havent check for fault codes jet.
