My a4 B5 avant driver door is not latching shut correctly. A spring seems too be broken somewhere. The lever has lost its springiness and tend to stick out once you open the door from the inside. Then when you slam it shut it fails to latch closed. Worse in cold weather.
Anyone pulled the door apart? Is the spring in the lock or is the spring in the actuator lever?
Any help appreciated.
