Some months ago I've bought a 1998 Audi A8 for a few grand (real bargain for a diesel) with very low mileage, now I'm wondering is it possible to convert this car to quattro.
although in the interior there is a quattro logo (seller said it was always there I'll post picture below) he said the car had only FWD. Now I already looked under the car and apparantly there a big shaft running underneath but no parts to run quattro also the train's entry to the engine is is sealed but. Now my question is two fold and the rear axle is definetely for FWD also the trunks bottom plate where the spare wheel is at lower's behind the rear axle, I can take more pictures of the bottom of the car if required...
Parts for the conversion is not an issue here I can strip it off a dead A8 quattro on a junkyard also welding is not a problem only technical issues and advice please
I ask for no trolling please only senseful responses with explenations.

You'll likely have to modify the rear floor to accomodate the rear diff / suspension setup.
Other issues you may need to think about are exhaust routing, fuel lines, handbrake cables.
A lot of work and not economically viable
