having a problem with acceleration on my 20v coupe sometimes it goes ok but mostly it seems to be missing then it takes off for a few seconds then holds back before take off again this is always every time I use it.Took off the dizzie cap there was a lot of carbon buildup on the terminals and the rotor .thing is I think the rotor is bonded on on these cars(if you apply enough power to remove a run of the mill rotor arm that has been on for 90000 miles,,lots,,it will probably break a bonded in one)have checked the fuel side and the maf sensor any help greatly received.. thanks

I think you have to break them to get them off; you may not find a new one easily- the one from a 16v maybe a similar size- hopefully someone else can confirm...

the rotor arm is readily available but as said you need to break the old one.

I did mine by removing the dizzy off the car. It had done ~ 115k

Just set the flywheel to tdc and make sure the rotor arm is pointing to cylinder 1 before you undo the 13mm nut.
