hi, my coupe has developed some sort of popping noise when moving at low speed. it does not happen all the time and never when stationary. it seems to happen when i turn wheel ( one turn )move on then slowly turning wheel back there is a knock and wheels sort of skips on the road which reminds me of when top mounts were gone but they were changed along with shocks, also have new tie rods, wishbones, new anti roll bar drop links, CV boots arent split, just about to put new ball joints on... now can top mounts wear that quickly? (6 months) also thought about steering rack which is my biggest concern but steering in general feels tight and ok... can somebody help pls? Rolling Eyes

sounds like the track rods are shifting under movement.

check that the bracket they attach to is secure on the rack and that the nuts / bolts are all torqued up correctly

Hi Mike, the rods are new since july...they didnt even crossed my mind. when it comes to top mounts, do you have any experience with blue heavy duty ones? are they any better than standard green ones? and do they last longer? i think i changed pretty much everything on front suspension/steering but for some reason something is still not 100% Confused Thank you Mike

I wouldn't bother with the blue ones

Green ones are every bit as good and don't lower the ride height like the blues
