Newbie - needs help

Hi all
Back in an Audi again after a few years break (previosly had 1990 2.3 20v coupe)
Just got a 2001 2.7T A6 allroad - auto with 7 seat option - low miles and FSH but it's not quite perfect so will be getting the spanners out soon.
First problem (which was not apparent on test drive) is heater is not giving hot air. I've worked in automotive engine cooling for last 30 years (contact me if you need advise) but thnk maybe this is a servo/flap issue - is there a history with these cars? It recently had new rad, pump and all belts so it could be air in system - will check that tonight and also get to grips with search option on here - no doubt I'm not the first to have this problem.

Thought I'd ask the obvious....

Make sure when you try the search you try the forum search, not the site search (confusing, I know)- at the minute the 2 are not connected, to my knowledge....
