Hello Everyone,

I have an Audi A3 1.6 (8L) which is normally used by the GF. However, I've noticed that when getting in the car sometimes there are some audible beeps. The car is running well, therefore I have not been too worried.

Lately, as I've read on here is fairly common, the alarm has been annoying the neighbours at odd hours. The alarm keeps going on and I can't seem to work out what is causing it.

I removed the rear boot panel and had a look around the boot lock as Iv'e heard that water can get in there and cause alarm issues, nothing so far, it looked bone dry.

So, I thought I'd join up here and ask those in the know, about the alarm issue I have.

Any info/help I can get will be greatly appreciated guys.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Very Happy

It sounds like the batteries in the siren are going; it's possible to replace them yourself more cheaply than buying a new Audi siren.

Thanks for that link QuattroJames. I think I will have a butchers at it, worst case will be having to replace the box for £80 from the stealers. Electronics in cars getting old is scary business. Shocked Cars these days are packed with all sorts. Smile

Forgot to ask, is this module in the boot area like it is in the TT?

Thanks again,

H.

Probably, A4's and TT's are. You should be able to follow the beep?
