I urgently needed some tyres and the tracking done on my S8 and so as you do I went to a tyre shop to get some. The ones I wanted they didn't have so I ordered them on the promise they would be delivered the next day. I went back the following day and they quickly took the wheels off the car and the tyres off the rims. I was then told the tyres hadn't been delivered yet and would I like some other make that were also a different size. He got a very strong no and I asked for an explanation. I told him in very strong terms that I wanted the tyres I ordered or else he puts the old tyres back on and I go elsewhere. He made a phone call and promised they would be there in 30 mins. They did eventually arrive and where quickly fitted.

They then did the tracking. I couldn't see any tracking equipment and wondered how they were going to do it. I soon got the answer. He used his eye and a tape measure. That was too much and I blew. I gave him a verbal flogging and asked how in gods name he could accurately set the tracking this way. This may be acceptable in a back street garage in Calcutta but not in Dubai. I paid for the tyres but refused to pay for the tracking.

So, whilst you may moan about the cowboys in the UK, believe me, the cowboys here in Dubai are in a class of there own.
