hi i have a 2004 a6 tdi 130sport .130.000mls .ex firms car with multronic g/box .ghQo1j...problem is p r n d s lights on dash are flashing..i hooked it up to a snap on diagnostics and need help /advise on the following..17090 transmition range sensor f125 implausable signal po706 intermitant 4b0910155cv30-oIj1.9ltdrwd3120 coding 0000001 wfc004926...need help as i need car for work everyday Sad somebody said it may be a multifunctional switch so i phoned audi £850+just for part .to which ive not got..can these be repaired ..and whats proceedure to remove from in g/box..all help apreciated thanks ps/audi said f125was a brake switch?????could this make the above problems

F125 is a multi function switch attached to the transmission.

thanks for taking the time to reply to my problem..unfortunately my g/box is a ghQ O1J MULTRONIC AND THE SWITCH IS INSIDE THE G/ BOX .£££££££££££..BUT THANKS AGAIN FOR TRYING TO HELP

From what you describe regarding your multitronic gearbox, the ECU is knackered. This is a very common issue with them.
The bigger issue with them is that the longer you drive it with the PRND lights on you could well be wearing out your forward clutch.
Does it hesitate when selecting reverse?
Many gearbox centres will replace the ECU (box out job) but with no guarantee.
I have previously dealt with a reputable gearbox centre on the Southside of Dublin. They insist on inspecting the forward clutch and replacement if necessary, before the ECU is replaced. Then you will get 1 years guarantee.
They get new ECUs from Audi in Germany which have been "upgraded" which seems to fix the problem.

thanks for you reply...i am trying to get it sorted..have found local garage to remove/refit ecu/multifunctional switch//now trying to get in touch with ecu repairers,,,,has anybody used a ecu repair company they can recomand.....trying to get in touch with ectunning/bba-reman...autotek... anybody recomend best one???????????
