Hi
I have just purchased an after market mp3/cd player for my cab. and thought it would be a straight forward iso plug job only to find that the wiring is a bit more complicated.
I have the front speakers working as they are in one iso plug but the rear ones are in the same plug as the autochanger plug which is not a standard iso. I have found the rear speaker wires (one left and one right + wire and a common - wire). I have tested those wires by putting a small battery across them and using a shared - wire but am getting no sound so there must obviously be a differert way. Does any one have an idea how to connect the rear speakers to an iso or would my best bet be not to mess with the original wires and feed a new set of speaker cables from the back. All help greatly appreciated.

yeh, the rears are pre-amped. got their own little ampifiers attached. best way is to do as you said and re-wire, not that bad a job!

All done . i unplugged the old plug and soldered new wires to the speakers and was able to feed them to the front neatly hidden under the trim. a lot easier than i expected.

Sounds a lot better , the front speakers on their own were very tinny.
Thanks for your help.

Ello, apologies for the old topic drag up
I've just got myself a real nice 98' cab except one of the previous owners has raped it of the OEM head unit and boot changer! I've got a tidy OE looking Becker head unit to put in there but the cars wiring harness is a bit hacked and when i plugged it in only the front right speaker is working
Going off the above posts, anyone know which colour the rear speaker wires are? Front two are green in the brown connector, but the rears arent next to them!
