Like all my previous Quattro's my latest 90q is suffering quite badly from driveline shunt. (clonk on takeup). On my previous 90q I changed everything I could think of, gearbox mounts, engine mounts, diff mounts rebuilt the propshaft, changed the gearbox, changed the diff and it all made no difference. The only thing I can think of is the CV joints. Has anybody been able to solve this problem?

They all do it. it's a feature.

the biggest improvement I got on mine was getting the propshaft centre bearing replaced. this was at around 280k

Hi Mike. Thanks for your reply.

To say it's a feature doesn't mean it's acceptable and it's also a very unwelcome feature. I doubt Audi built this into the design. As my car has only done 88K I'm not sure if its propshaft issues but you never know. on my previous 90q I rebuilt the propshaft completely and it made no difference. I'm beginning to think it could be the inner CV joints as I've just checked them and there is a slight bit of movement in each one.
