Hi,
This is my first post on here so a short introduction. I bought my 1999 Audi cabriolet a few months ago, it is a 1999 1.8 in blue, nice condition, just over 100K on the clock, as a present for my daughter.
There are a few small jobs I want to do over the coming months (new brake fluid, coolant flush, check front suspension and steering) but pretty good except these.
When I got the car the roof was working but being winter I didn't use it for a couple of months.
Tried to use it today and it just didn't move at all.
I am also unable to open the boot.
Tried a full manual open/close but no difference.
Roof is closed, ignition on, and I have got the measuring blocks from VAG COM and they are
00110111__00100101 but should be
10111011__10100101

1st bit F200 compartment locked right side
5th bit 5th bit boot locked
6th bit boot unlocked
2nd block
1st bit F199 compartment locked left side.
So looks like I have a boot lock issue and 'compartment locked' issues.

I suspect the boot issue is a real one, any advice gratefully received?

I suspect the 'compartment locked' issues are down to my manaul opening and closing of the roof, how do I reset them?

Hi, thought I would update on my progress. I decided it was too hard for and took to a specialist in Hull called Ricci Concept. they diagnosed a seized pump, which I then sourced for around £70 off ebay, which they fitted. Roof now works perfectly. Cost a bit to get working but worth it.
Ricci Concept are quite familiar with the model so were able to sort it out. my local garage simply didnt have the knowledge.
