I can only assume that everyone's A6 is running perfectly, given the lack of requests for help Cool

Mine's going strong, though not as tidy as Mikes - mostly due to it's recent duties as hauler of patio slabs - which it accomplished without complaint.

The one that I had got too grotty (still ran Ok) so I have broken it at 375K, 190K in my ownership the new low mileage one,140K I have had for 5ish months and clocked 15k in it. This forum I find is quiet but far more use full than most of the others. If you need info you can find it here with out all the thread drift and noise. I still PM people on here.
Brother has been through a few FWD's and now has a rather nice q.
In total between use I think around 9 in the past 6 years

Ours is now around 194k miles and running well but smoking if I give it beans. Once our Pug TD engine swap/upgrade is done I will be taking the A6 off the road to fix a few things.

Mine still going strong, only a baby at 156K though. Most of the suspension looks OE apart from the cheap and nasty dampers fitted by previous owner, so the next big job is a suspension overhaul. I'm waiting until it warms up a bit before I tackle that though!

I'm quite glad I didn't mess with the suspension on mine, as with my lardy arse and 400kgs of paving slabs onboard it barely got up the rutted track that lead me to the bargain of the hard landscaping world. Arse was less lardy after moving 3 1/2 tonnes of paving slabs mind.

My 100 (C4 so nearly an A6) is a daily drive. On 114k miles now.

All the posts in this section of the forum seem to relate to diesels though.

My '96 AEL Avant SE is still going strong. Daily driver and work hack. Went over 260k this week. Could do with a wash and hoover out.

Oh, and the AC wants gassing.....

Nick

My 2.8 30v just ticked over 178K,
Should have my CQ finished and roadworthy in a couple of weeks so the A6 will be taken off for a full rear subframe refresh, I've got a spare galvanised and rebushed and ready to go.
After that a full stainless, and back on the road

At christmas time I had 2x 2wd aels and a ael quattro and an S6

Now I have bugger all c4 wise so havn't been on the forum in a while

Sold the S6 and the quattro, sold one of the 2wds to a mate and my old faithful is now all but scrapped although everything forward of the windscreen is on its way to New zealand for a new life in an S6

I will more than likely end up back with the 2wd when he gets his s2 back on the road so my c4 days aren't over just yet

Still running mine , very few issues considering the miles i have done
- Derv Pump leaked several times , ended up getting it fully rebuilt , not cheap , but cold start and running is much improved and cant see it leaking ever again , well not for another 400k
- Tailgate lock snapped , reto fitted and audi 80 handle into it !
- Swapped back to 16" wheels and Michelin tyres all round for comfort
- washer motor packed up
- CV boot split
- Replaced all glow plugs
- Another battery was needed after a few starting issues
- Relayed the headlights after HIDs issues not starting in the depths of winter

All MOTS have been easy

Just past the 450,000 this Week !!!!!

Still car is very much original with same factory fitted clutch engine and exhaust , injectors etc ,

Its is starting to loose some performance and not be as quick up hills and lower mpg up hills , but the nozzles have never been changed and injectors are reading fine on VAG com
